I say we form a group and hunt down all these scalpers and kick their butts and take their stuff. Of course we'd have to pay original price for them at least can't steal stuff, it's just not ethical.

heh...most of the people who come in to gamestop looking for figs are sports pick scalpers.

had one guy the other night who I couldn't tell if he was a scalper, or a collector.

we have a policy that we cannot hold anything for more than two or three hours. One guy came in, found some sort of baseball figure variant, and asked the manager to hold it until the next morning. Manager says no.

Guy comes up to me and tries to get me to hide the figure behind the counter until the next morning. I also tell him no. He spots the manager going into the back room and says "quick, he's gone, put it behind the counter before he gets back! You don't understand...I HAVE TO HAVE THIS FIGURE!"

I told him that the manager would notice the figure back there, I'd get into trouble if I put it aside for him, and besides that, I wasn't working the next morning. The manager would be.

The guy stashed it behind some other figures and said "thanks for all your help" in a really sarcastic tone as he left. I was tempted to buy the figure myself just to spite him (or hide it in the back for a few weeks), but as I didn't know if he was a scalper or honest collector, I figured it wouldn't be fair to do that.
